Abstract

In this work, a microporous polybenzimidazole was designed and synthesised. By loading imidazole into its nanospace, we obtained proton conductivity of 2.4 × 10−3 S cm−1 at 130 °C under anhydrous conditions, which proves that the imidazole loaded porous polybenzimidazole is a superionic conductor.
