Abstract
- The authors discuss the improvement in health literacy in relation to ethnic minority musculoskeletal health. Topics mentioned include differences between the immigrant and indigenous populations with regard to back pain, knee pain, and widespread pain, the influence of health beliefs on ethnic minority health, and a need for culturally-competent health-care provision by health-care professionals trained in cultural competence.
