Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze how a regression in the social rights of workers in Spain has been taking place. Thus, the rights recognized to workers in the Spanish Constitution have passed from "social" rights to "flexible" rights. All this is encouraged by legislative policies based on the fact that greater flexibility in the workplace (of all types, structural or internal) would lead to the creation or, at least, the maintenance of jobs. In this way Spain has abandoned the objectives of "quality" in employment, which has eroded important elements of stability within the labor relationship. In short, the economic crisis that Spain is going through has meant that labor law has lost its protective character, with a large number of unemployed or pauperworkers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
