Abstract

The article focuses on the relationship of Germany and Poland and their stand on energy union. Overview of the relationship of the two nations, which serve as an example of differing interests of European Union (EU) member states pertaining to energy policy, is provided. Description of both countries' stand as weak advocates for Energy Union and why bilateral engagement continues to stall due in part to various controversies such as the Nord Stream II is offered.
