Abstract

Focuses on the failure of a recent drive to raise cattle prices in the U.S. Mention of the meat strike by members of the militant National Farmers Organization (NFO) across 23 Mid-western states; Information that the efforts of the NFO are designed to raise cattle prices by about 30 percent, and to revolutionize the system of selling farm products; Finding that the livestock feeding is so specialized that feeders have little protection against price breaks.
