Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To probe into the efficacy of tigecycline in treatment of pulmonary infection induced by multiple resistant bacteria. METHODS: 120 patients with pulmonary infection induced by multiple resistant bacteria admitted from Aug.2015 to Aug.2016 were selected and divided into observation group and control group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with imipenem-cilastatin, while the observation group was given tigecycline, efficacy, bacteria clearance and incidence of adverse drug reactions of two groups were observed. RESULTS: The total effective rate of observation group ( 80.00%, 48/60 ) was significantly higher than that of the control group (60.00%, 36/60), with statistically significant difference (P<0.05);rates of bacteria clearance and bacteria replacement of observation group were respectively 86.67%(52/60) and 0 (0/60), which were significantly better than those of the control group ( 63.33%, 38/60; 6.67%, 4/60 ), with statistically significant differences ( P<0.05 );the incidence of adverse drug reactions of observation group was 3.33%( 2/60 ), which was significantly lower than that of the control group ( 23.33%, 14/60 ), with statistically significant difference ( P <0.05 ). CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of tigecycline in treatment of pulmonary infection induced by multiple resistant bacteria is remarkable , which can significantly increase the rate of bacteria clearance, with higher safety .
