Abstract: The article discusses the philosophical issues of neoclassical theory and the philosophy of science. Topics discussed include the philosophical basis of the Popper's notion of falsifiability and Lakatos's concept of science as paradigm-based and the concept of marginal utility as the sole motivation for behaviour.
