Abstract
- This article reflects about the significance process of online advertising messages, focusing on redundancy of codes and contexts. To do this, has taken Pragmatics as a theoretical framework, just like the data obtained from advertising banners on the web, available on web pages of four cell phone companies in Colombia. This preliminary approach has showed that redundancy allows guiding the significance process in the addressees from two perspectives: a contribution to preserve communicative intentions that have motivated the production of messages and, a privilege that makes the context to become an important factor in the interpretation of messages.
