La superexplotación de la fuerza de trabajo y la especificidad del capitalismo latinoamericano: un aporte al debate.

This article studies Marini's view on the 'overexploitation of the labour power' and it reviews the contributions of this concept to the understanding of the Latin American capitalism. The concept of 'super-exploitation' is interesting to explain the exploitation of the working class in Latin America amid the shift of global economy since the 1970s onwards. However, Marini has a 'stagnationist' interpretation about overexploitation and this idea does not grasp accurately the current dynamic of capitalism. The debate about the contributions and shortcomings of Marini's view is framed in the work of contemporary authors from the Marxist dependency theory. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
