Reduction of Loa loa Microfilaremia with Imatinib - A Case Report.

The article presents a case study of a 29-year-old woman who was presented with eyeworm, limb angioedema and rashes, along with pruritus. It mentions use of imatinib drug and repeated concentrated peripheral blood smears revealing a slow decline in microfilarial levels and tyrosine kinase expression in the nuclei of the microfilariae. It also mentions use of single dose of diethylcarbamazine microfilariae from the bloodstream.
