Abstract

The article presents 2017 Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) guidelines on the diagnosis and management of infectious diarrhea. use of antimicrobial agents to treat infectious diarrhea, culture-independent diagnostic tests (CIDTs) offering laboratory workflow advantages, detection of bacterial pathogens by CIDTS, and outbreak of Cyclospora infection.
