Microwave activated gold nanoparticles for catalytic growth of monocrystal CdSe nanowires in solution.

CdSe nanowires (NWs) were grown in solution under microwave irradiation with the catalysis of solid gold nanoparticles, following a solution–solid–solid (SSS) mechanism.
