Abstract
- The article discusses a study of the optokinetic or swivel reflex of Xenopus larvae by Céline Gravot of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Germany. It demonstrates that the swivel reflex of Xenopus larvae depends on the contrast as the tadpoles strongly responded to the bright dots on dark background than the dark spots, understanding the drastic lifestyle change of tadpoles during the metamorphose stage to amphibious hunters affecting their visual processing.
