Abstract

The Coastal Western Hemlock-Sitka Spruce Forests Ecoregion in the United States occurs only in the state of Alaska. There are 14 species found here, representing nine genera and one family (Lumbricidae). None of the species are native (endemic) to North America; all others are European (exotic) introductions. A description of the ecoregion and four colour photographs are also included. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
