The Weights of the Tautological Classes of Character Varieties.

In this article, the author calculates the weights of the tautological classes of character varieties using the functorial mixed Hodge structure. Topics discussed include cohomology of linear algebraic group; property of Hodge structures induced by algebraic maps; and existence of internal hom in the category of simplicial schemes.
