Methotrexate is the cornerstone therapy for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, with well-established safety and efficacy profiles; however, this drug has the potential to cause serious adverse reactions, such as mucositis. The clinical characteristics of oral mucositis associated to methotrexate are unfrequently reported; thus, the purpose of this manuscript is to describe the oral findings observed in three patients with rheumatoid arthritis under methotrexate therapy.
