Abstract

The article focuses on new breakthrough in X-ray technology. A paleontologist from China has approached scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and asked them to look into a 65-million-year-old dinosaur egg without breaking the shell. By using the X-ray CT scanner, an instrument first developed for the now-defunct Star Wars Defense Initiative, scientists can create a two-dimensional image from multiple angles of X-rays.
