Abstract

To follow the characteristics of the generation that currently attends the university, teaching methodologies need new approaches. With this, gamification comes as an option, using strategy and game mechanics to motivate people. In this scenario, the concept of multiple intelligences allows the focus of education to be the individual rather than the content, thus promoting a more complete formation, joining professional development with hobbies and other personal interests. The aim of this article is to analyze gamification as a methodology to be applied in higher education, thus avoiding avoidance. As a methodology was done a qualitative research, in relation to the objectives it is exploratory, with technical procedures characterized as bibliographic research as well as data collection. The analysis is qualitative. As result it is shown the importance of approaching different methods to minister the contents, working diverse intelligences, focusing on teaching in the individual and not only in the contents.
