Abstract
- The article talks about clean-up of closed nuclear plants as proposed by nuclear plant owners and contractors. It discusses the regulatory risks and community opposition that could effect the project, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Agency DECON, and decommissioning cost. The article adds that energy companies including NorthStar, EnergySolution, and AREVA will be undergoing decontamination and demolition of their nuclear facilities.
