Abstract

The mathematical model of thermal explosion and synthesis of products in a mechanically activated 3Ni + Al mixture is simulated in macroscopic approximation. It is shown that activation of original components significantly increases the formation rate of a NiAl intermetallide. The experimental data are used to determine the thermophysical and kinetic constants of the process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
