Abstract

The article focuses on findings of a study on relative abundance of β-thalassemia-related mutations in southern China correlates with geographical coordinates. It states relation between the graticule and the pathogenic genotype diversity, and mentions computation of the correlation coefficient between each genotype's frequency and geographic components. It notes analysis of pathogenic mutation carrier rate.
