Oligarquias em disputa: Ramos x Konder.

During the 20th century, politics in Santa Catarina was influenced by the Konder and Ramos oligarchies. Both dominated regions, where ethnicity, political and family patrimony gained legitimacy during the trajectory of their predecessors. Analyzing two distinct newspapers of the year 1934, Correio do Estado and City of Blumenau, we will study the conflicts between these two families and their influences on the politics of the State. The study also highlights the issue of the dismemberment of the Blumenau region in the administration of Aristiliano Ramos, as a way to weaken the regions where the Konder oligarchy established influence by encouraging the industrialization process.
