Abstract
- The article reports that a U.S. court has awarded Elsevier BV 15 million dollars in damages for copyright infringement by Sci-Hub and a similar website, both of which provide free access to pirated scientific journal articles. The American Chemical Society (ACS) has filed its own lawsuit against Sci-Hub. Elsevier filed its lawsuit against Sci-Hub, Library Genesis, and their operators in 2015.
