Abstract

The article offers the author's view regarding the benefits of continuous performance improvement within fire department administration. The author refers to the self-assessment process that involves a review of the various performance indicators provided in the "Fire and Emergency Services Self-Assessment Manual." The author concludes that teamwork is essential to self-assessment.
