Abstract
- Sunny weather brought more than tourists to Naples, Florida this summer. A thief with a penchant for bronze carted away at least 13 sculptures from well-manicured lawns in the affluent Port Royal community. Collectors who had spent thousands of dollars to protect artworks inside their homes did little to secure valuable sculpture arrayed outside. Linda Sager of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey-based Chubb Personal Insurance, urges collectors to safeguard their sculpture by having it bolted down, chained to an immovable object and/or wired to an alarm.
