Abstract
- The author presents a personal narrative of his experiences of teaching mathematics and offers ideas for how educators can engage students in mathematics education by presenting it as a creative and explorative discipline. He argues for teaching math in a way that fosters students' curiosity and understanding of the subject. Strategies for changing the approach to teaching maths include student-teacher communication, student engagement, and changing attitudes towards mathematics.
