Familial vitreous amyloidosis resulting from transthyretin variant Gly83Arg.

The article presents a case study of 47-year-old woman with bilateral vision loss and floaters. Her visual acuity (VA) was determined using counting fingers optical density (OD) and hand motion and other anterior segments were normal in examination. A 20-G therapeutic pars plana vitrectomy was performed. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral vein whole blood treated with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA).
