Abstract
- This Editorial highlights a study by Frank and colleagues (2017) in the current issue of Journal of Neurochemistry. The authors report the genetic composition and stoichiometry of endogenous subfamilies of PSD95‐containing supercomplexes in the mouse brain using an innovative strategy of combining gene‐tagging knock‐in, targeted mutations, and quantitative biochemical assays. Their findings shed new light on our understanding of the genetic hierarchy required for the assembly of distinct supercomplex subfamilies at excitatory synapses in the brain. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
