Abstract
- The article discusses funding issues and radical changes in education standards which resulted in delay in the implementation of nurse apprenticeship programs at British universities. It notes that only 30 nurse apprentices will begin university courses in September 2017, well below the 1,000 a year expected by the government. The annual salary for nurse apprentices under the proposed scheme is presented.
