Abstract

The article reports on using a "dissect and build" structural biology approach to construct the structure of a 1.5-MDa bacterial adhesin that comprises over 130 domains to position it on ice at the top of the water column. The 1.5-MDa adhesin is used by the Antarctic bacterium Marinomonas primoryensis.
