Abstract

The objective of this study was to study the behavior of soybean cultivars in the Central North region of São Paulo State, Brazil, in the 2016/17 season. The experiment was installed in the Polo Centro Norte - APTA Regional, linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply. The experimental design was a randomized block design, with three replicates, being tested 30 soybean cultivars, 25 with Intacta RR 2 PRO technology and 5 with RR1 technology. The useful plots consisted of 2 rows of five meters in length, with spacing between rows of 0.45 m. At maturation of the grains, plant height at maturation, height of insertion of the first pod and yield of grains were evaluated. Analyzes of variances were performed and means were compared by the Scott Knott test at 5%. The overall average productivity obtained was 2208 kg ha-1. The cultivars that stood out with the best productive performance, with 10% above average were: TMG 7067 IPRO, BRS Valiosa RR, Msoy 6210 IPRO and BRS 1001 IPRO. It is necessary to continue the studies to better recommend the cultivars most adapted to the North Central Region of São Paulo. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
