Abstract
- The article discusses a research on Helminth pathogens infection-induced malignancy. It mentions how infection with helminths leads to cholangiocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder. It also mentions impact of ingestion of undercooked freshwater fish infected with the metacercaria stage of species of liver flukes. It mentions Cancer occur in the DNA of the genome of the target cell, while the mutations lead to uncontrolled cellular proliferation and metastasis.
