CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA CRIAÇÃO DA CÂMARA TÉCNICA DE OBSTETRÍCIA DO CONSELHO REGIONAL DE ENFERMAGEM DE MINAS GERAIS.

Objective: to know the historical process of the creation of the Midwifery Technical Chamber and its determinants; identifying the reasons that gave rise to the institutional support offered to Midwifery by the Technical Chamber of Minas Gerais Regional Council of Nursing (COREN-MG). Methodology: social-historic study, from secondary data and semi-structured interviews, which were analyzed based on discourse analysis. Results: midwifery Technical Chamber is a landmark in support to Midwifery; their actions provided sociopolitical advances in the field of autonomy.
