Abstract
- The article presents news briefs related to addiction and addiction research as of August 2017. Canada passed legislation reforming the process of creating supervised consumption rooms for injecting drug users. A World Health Organization (WHO) report found that tobacco use and tobacco-related health conditions are highest in China. Smoking in public places has been banned in the Philippines via an executive order signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
