Abstract

The article presents guideline summary for molecular biomarkers for the evaluation of colorectal cancer (CRC). Topics discussed include impact of anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) monoclonal antibody therapy on patients with CRC who carry activating mutations of KRAS, importance of microsatellite instability testing for the selection of patients for immunotherapy, and factors involved in laboratory testing of molecular biomarkers.
