The effect of sensory-level electrical stimulation of the masseter muscle in early stroke patients with dysphagia.

The article focuses on an analysis of electrical stimulation impact over dysphagia patients with early stroke conditions. Topics discussed include assessment of mortality rate among stroke patients with consideration of risk factors for several diseases such as pneumonia; assessment of patients through flexible fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) methods; and combination of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) with traditional dysphagia therapy (TDT).
