Abstract

The economic development of countries like Turkey which has a young population, the growth of potential entrepreneurs is essential to establish new business opportunity and create new business models. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the socio-demographic profile and entrepreneurial personality features, and reveal if vocational school students in university have entrepreneurial personality features that affect the entrepreneurial tendency. In this context, entrepreneurial personality features scale (need of being successful, self-confidence, being innovator, center of control, taking risk, tolerance of uncertainty) was conducted Köyceğiz Vocational School Students in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. The data was analyzed by means of frequency analysis, mean and Correlation Analysis. As a result, entrepreneurial personality characteristics of the students in the survey was found moderate (x = 3.17). A significant association between socio-demographic profile (gender, age, academic program, class, type of education, personality trait, place of inhabited, lived zone and some family factors) and entrepreneurial personality features of the students was also found.
