QUADRINHOS NA GEOGRAFIA: UMA PROPOSTA DIDÁTICA PARA AS ANOS INICIAIS.

This research principal aim is the development of a pedagogical proposal for the geographical curriculum, using as a didactic device the comic book "Malu and the Rooster Weather". This story portrays the importance of weather forecast in the routine activities in the countryside and in the city, joining together the popular and the scientific knowledge. This proposal was applied in two municipal schools of Rio Claro City (State of São Paulo), at the initial series. The feasibility of this innovative proposal was realized through educational workshops whose results showed that knowledge meets lived in school spaces. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
