Abstract

The article presents a study which examined the effect of glucagon-llike peptide 1 agonist exenatide and cardiovascular risk in patients with type 1 diabetes based on the result of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The variables considered include weight loss, blood glucose level, small low-density lipoprotein (LDL) particle, postprandial lipoprotein and fasting high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). The study is limited by the sample size, the dose of exenatide and the use of statin.
