Abstract
- Recent experiments in CERN (Scandale et al., 2014) and IHEP (Afonin et al., 2012) have demonstrated the simple method of focusing of positively charged hadron beams with the help of specially fabricated bent single crystals. In these experiments the parallel beam was focused into point-like one on a distance equal approximately to 1–2 m from a crystal. In the report we discuss further development of focusing on the basis of bent crystals. We present the theoretical description of transformation from point-like beam into parallel one and focusing from point-like beam into point-like one. In the report we also consider possibilities of creation of new optical elements for focusing of high energy hadron beams in the horizontal and vertical planes simultaneously. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
