Abstract

The article presents a study that evaluates the relationship between 25-hydroxyvitamin (OHD) and parathyroid hormone (PTH) in different age groups. It offers details of the method of the study that analyzes samples from a total of 23,259 paired serum 25-OHD and PTH results from a computer database. It outlines the result which suggests that single universal threshold values are not suitable for assessing vitamin D status.
