Abstract

The newly established states have sought to raise generations of their own values. After the success of the National Struggle in Turkey, it was aimed to raise generations to which the national values belonging to the Republic are embraced. In the Republican Period, the places where national values were transferred were primary and secondary education institutions. For this reason, the curriculum of schools has gained a special importance in transferring national values in primary and secondary education. In this study, the curriculum of the first elementary, secondary and high school curriculum was examined during the eleven-year education period after the Republic's announcement date.
