Abstract
- The article discusses the first published report of misidentification of bacteria Veillonella as Francisella tularensis, a pathogenic species of Gram-negative, rod-shaped coccobacillus, by an in-house automated microbial identification system (AMIS). It also discussed the investigation started by the Division of Public Health in Idaho, Eastern Idaho Public Health, and hospital A to confirm F. tularensis.
