Abstract
- A biography of Barry Jenkins, an award-winning filmmaker, is presented. He was born on November 19, 1979 in Miami, Florida and attended the Miami Northwestern Senior High School He then enrolled at the Florida State University (FSU) for a degree in education, but gained interest in filmmaking classes. Jenkins then participated in the university's annual Telluride Film Festival and featured the film "My Josephine." It also discusses Jenkin's successful movie "Moonlight" on African Americans.
