Abstract

The article reports that U.S. President Donald Trump moderated his view of Islam as a religion of hatred and rejected the notion that the fight against terrorism was a religious conflict. According to the article, in a speech to Muslim leaders in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Trump stated he would not criticize human rights in their countries but asked the leaders to increase efforts against terrorism. The potential implications of the shift in Trump's approach are also discussed.
