Abstract

The article presents a case study of 40-year-old male with intestinal problems and joint pain who was being treated wit antithyroid drug. It reports that to gain further insight into the extent of interference, additional hormones were measured which reveals that immunoassay interference caused by heterophilic antibodies interacting with biotin.
