Abstract

The article discusses anti-Vietnam War protests in America in relation to the deaths of four students at Kent State University who were shot by members of the U.S. National Guard on May 4, 1970. Armed civilian Terrance B. Norman's potential relationship with America's Federal Bureau of Investigation is examined, along with then-U.S. President Richard Nixon's decision to send American military troops into Cambodia. Lawsuits and the cause of the shooting are assessed.
