Abstract: The article presents expectations of various authors who would invite their favorite authors dead or alive, for a party if they could. The dreams and imaginations include American poet Kathleen Norris's choice of inviting Emily Dickinson and Søren Kierkegaard; Barbara Brown Taylor's choice of inviting Gregory Ellison, Michelle Alexander, and Matthew Desmond; and Mark D Jordan's choice of Plato, Thomas Aquinas, and Michel Foucault.
