Social Studies lesson Schedule which is based on social science aims to make students think like a social scientist and gain the social methods of researching.It is necessary to find out how students imagine social scientists in their eyes in order to reach the goal of the research.The study in which descriptive scanning method is used, the data is analyzed by the qualitative research method to find out results.The group of study is consisted of seventy 6 th graders in a state school in İzmir between 2012-2013. As a result of the study, it is seen that students have various descriptions about social scientists.With the classical image of scientists, students describe the scientists as happy, wearing ties and good looking people which shows us how positive images they have in their minds about them. In lessons, various studies should be done to make students have an image of social scientists. Social scientists should be placed in visiul media and with different programmes social scientists image should also be formed in the eyes of students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
