Abstract

Presentarticle examines the effect of mixed convection, thermal radiation on MHD CNTs in a rotating vertical channel. Here the flow and temperature distributions are considered to be period in time. Exact closed form solutions are established and influence of several pertinent parameters are discussed through graphs. Emphasize had been given to the effect of small and large rotations, single and multi-wall CNTs, mixed convection parameter, magnetic field and thermal radiations on velocity and temperature profiles. Moreover, the influence of significant parameters are elaborated through graphical presentation of amplitude and phase angles associated with skin friction coefficient and heat flux. Velocities of nanofluid having liquid metal base fluids are very small in magnitude. It is noted that velocities upsurges for increasing values of pressure gradient. Simple fluid has lowest temperature distribution and temperature is an increasing function of ϕ . Moreover, it is observed that temperature distribution is high when water is taken as a base fluid. Lowest temperature profile is obtained when liquid metals are used as base fluid for MWCNT nanofluid and highest temperature is attained for SWCNT nanofluid when light organic fluids are considered as base fluid. Amplitude of heat flux is a decreasing function of N and Pe but it has an increasing trend for rising values of ϕ . [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
